Julee is a native Californian. She was born and raised in San Diego and has been exhibiting her award winning
art for many years. Her love of painting began during her studies in fine art and art history. When introduced to watercolor,
the medium quickly became her passion. Julee was drawn to watercolor because of its “romantic”
nature and flow as well as the blending of beautiful rich colors. Julee refers to her art as romantic impressionism.
Ever-expanding ideas and the love of all art is reflected in Julee’s paintings; thus, allowing her to constantly
change the subject matter. She is currently adding portraits, figurative painting, abstracts and collages to her collection.
As a previous co-owner of a gallery in Lake Tahoe, she found it fulfilling to work with and be
in the company of like-minded accomplished artists working in various media.
Her personal quest is the search for new and unusual subjects to inspire her; thus, continuing to challenge herself as an artist
